Pharos Marine has taken the Phalcon2000 RACON and adapted it to a flameproof Ex “d” enclosure making the Phalcon-2000 EXD the only Zone 1 RACON on the market that does not require an active purging system to maintain its Zone 1 rating. Eliminating purging greatly extends maintenance intervals and improves reliability.

Pharos Marine has taken the IP 67
rated Phalcon-2000 Racon and has adapted it with an inert gas pressurization
system for Zone 1 applications. This allows both X and S bands
in an EEx pedm rated unit.

| Radar Reflectors |

Many seamarks, especially buoys, provide a very poor response on radar screens. It is therefore customary for most authorities to equip their buoys, small lightfloats and small fixed marks with radar reflectors.

| Phalconet Radar Target Enhancers (RTE) |
 |
This RTE has been designed for marine use, to enhance the radar return of what is otherwise a poor radar target. In adverse weather a target may disappear into the sea clutter. When fitted with the RTE the enhanced return dramatically increases the likelihood of detection.
