Ideal for: monitoring AtoN positioning
In the early days of AIS little was known about how the AIS VHF-FM Data Link (VDL) and AIS radios were actually performing. A few of the more ambitious and technically savvy AIS folks designed some rudimentary analysis tools for their own specific purposes but such activity was very limited and not suitable for a more general use.
A few AIS gurus involved in AIS from its inception thought there was a better way. iNAVPro AIS Analysis software is the result. Through a series of software development iterations, each building on the real-world experience of experts using the software, iNAVPro is now a very robust tool to aid AIS authorities in managing their AIS network.
iNAVPro can integrate with various hardware and software to offer the user an outstanding platform for AIS analysis:
- Compatible with all IEC Base Station Receivers
- Decodes VSI sentences
- Supports all Shine Micro SM1610-4 $PSHI sentences
- Integrates with MS SQL Server for Data Base support
iNAVPro Functions and Options available to the user include the ability to:
- Access all the functionality of the standard iNAV software
- View VDL loading by any combination of Target Classes and Message Types
- View cumulative VDL slot usage by any combination of Target Classes
- View interactive Slot Map by any combination of Target Classes
- View Slot Reservation v. actual Slot Usage statistics
- View Frame Statistics by Epoch and High Message count Targets per IALA A-124/18
- Determine true VDL Loading by accounting for “occupied” slots due to slot collisions, undecoded messages and detected energy in the slot
- Detect AIS radios transmitting outside ITU specifications (jitter, frequency offset and deviation)1
- Identify and autonomously notify targets that transmit incorrect Dynamic Data
- Identify and autonomously notify targets that transmit incorrect or incomplete Static Data
- Identify Class A and B targets that do not comply with Individual and Group Assigned Mode commands
- Draw Area Cover Maps by signal strength and vessel tracks for each Base Station or other AIS Receiver
- Produce Line Passage Statistics and Traffic Density Plots
- Monitor Base Stations and Atons for correct FATDMA Slot Usage
- Monitor Base Stations and Atons for signal strength over time
